Tomorrow back onto the Oodnadatta Track (William Creek) then head south to the Gammon Ranges (Arkaroola Village)
We will be out of range for at least the next few days. After Arkaroola we will head south to Balcannoona, down east of the Flinders Ranges and back into Wilpena Sound (o/night). Then head home via god knows where.
Glen Helen - respite
Situated on the Finke River - that are Mike's legs to the left of the pool - relaxing and cooling his feet.
It is interesting to see how quickly you age out here.

Yes ... we are still on the Track
The famous Oodnadatta Road House. We spent some time with the owner (who is a dear friend of one of my friends). She has lived there for 38 years ... a lovely women. Qantas is visiting her next week to do an article on her and the town.
From Oodnadatta we travelled west thru some very rough tracks and camped at Arkaringo Cattle station. Where we had 'high tea' with the co manager Loren - who served us silver service tea with scones, jam and cream. Along with the dog and a million flies. The Station is huge of course and we loved our time with Loren.

Still on the track
Plenty of wild emu, horses, etc and people .... except us of course. We thought we should get a wash
Not much left of the old truck ... the road really took it out of the old girl.
Well we met the entire population at William Creek ... at the pub of course. Very interesting people.

On the Track ... rough, dusty and fantastic
Not many people around - that includes the 'towns'. William Creek has a popluation of 2 ... and they do everything. Walked on Lake Eyre and drank at all the pubs ... of course.
Flinders to the track ... oh my god!!
Loved Flinders and Blinman is a fabulous little town. we camped at a Parachina Gorge ... simply beautiful. Sorry could not say the same about us two.
